Why I’m Changing the Podcast—and What It Means for You

Jul 07, 2025

A new season, a new format, and a whole new level of depth.

Let’s get real for a second. I love this podcast. I love sitting down, hitting record, and connecting with all of you—rural women building bold, brilliant, beautiful businesses in unexpected places. This space has always been about honest conversations, practical strategies, and making the impossible feel possible from wherever you call home.

But here’s the truth: the way I’ve been running the podcast hasn’t been working for me—and that likely means it hasn’t been serving you in the way it should, either.

When I first launched the Big Money Strategies podcast, it was a weekly ritual. I had fresh energy, endless stories, and the drive to show up with something powerful every episode. It lit me up. But as time went on—nearly 300 episodes in—I found myself in a cycle of constantly chasing the next topic. I felt like I was just keeping up instead of creating something deeply meaningful.

The weekly format gave way to a fortnightly schedule, hoping it would ease the pressure. But instead, it became this nagging to-do that never felt quite finished. My team was always waiting. I was always behind. And most importantly, I didn’t feel connected to what I was sharing.

If you’ve been part of my world for a while, you know I don’t do anything halfway. I don’t coast. I don’t show up just to tick a box. I’m all in—or I pause and reassess.

So that’s what I did. I stepped back. I asked hard questions. I looked at what would serve you and me. I listened to what my energy was telling me. And now, I’m bringing you into a new era of the podcast—Unfiltered.

This isn’t just a name change. It’s a shift in rhythm, in depth, and in purpose. It’s me leading from a place of alignment, so that I can offer you something more intentional, more grounded, and more powerful. Because you deserve content that isn’t rushed or reactive—you deserve space to reflect, connect, and grow.

And that’s exactly what this new season is all about.

Why I’m Switching to Seasons

The truth is, I want to go deeper—not just wider. Instead of bouncing from one shiny topic to the next or pumping out episodes just to keep up with the algorithm, I want to honor each message. I want to give it space to land, to breathe, and to actually support you through the kind of transformation that doesn't happen in a quick 20-minute listen.

This new seasonal format isn’t just a logistical tweak—it’s a full-circle decision grounded in the way I want to lead, the way I want to serve, and the kind of business I want to model. Here’s why moving to seasons just makes sense:

It’s more aligned with how I want to serve.

I’m not here to flood your feed—I’m here to offer real clarity in a noisy space. Each season will deep dive into one central theme over 6–8 weeks, so we can explore a topic from multiple angles. Whether it’s how to sell in a shifting market, lead with values, or build sustainable growth in rural settings, we’ll be unpacking what actually works, not just what’s trending.

It supports my team to work in their zone of genius.

Let’s be honest, a podcast doesn’t happen in a vacuum. It takes planning, editing, graphics, emails, social posts—all of it. When I batch an entire season ahead of time, my team gets the gift of structure and flow. No more scrambling. No more last-minute uploads. Just aligned execution and creative freedom, which makes the entire experience better for you, too.

It reflects the values I’ve built my business on.

In a world obsessed with fast content, hot takes, and chasing attention, I’m making the conscious decision to slow down. I want to create thoughtful content that doesn’t just entertain, but educates, empowers, and endures. Depth over volume. Strategy over speed. This is the kind of content that grows with you—something you can come back to again and again.

It mirrors how I coach, how I plan, and how I live.

I work in seasons across every part of my business—from how I structure my offers to how I plan my launches. I’ve learned that when you give something the full space to evolve, the results are more grounded, sustainable, and impactful. Bringing that same energy to the podcast just feels right.

This change is about creating something with substance, not noise. Something rooted in intention, not just obligation. And most importantly, it’s about creating something that actually supports you in building a business that feels good, works well, and grows with your life—not against it.

What to Expect from the Unfiltered Season

This new chapter of the podcast is called Unfiltered: Leading with Clarity in a Changing Market. And it’s exactly that—real conversations, grounded insights, and honest strategy for women building bold businesses in unpredictable times.

This season isn’t about shiny tactics or trending audio. It’s about pulling back the curtain and giving you the tools and mindset shifts to:

  • Cut through the noise of a crowded, chaotic digital space
  • Ditch outdated strategies that no longer feel aligned or effective
  • Make confident, intentional decisions that reflect your values and capacity
  • Evolve with the market—not in reaction to it, but in relationship with it

We’ll be exploring what it actually looks like to lead, sell, and grow in 2025 and beyond—especially when the rules keep changing. You’ll hear behind-the-scenes shifts happening in my own business, lessons from the rural women I coach, and the kind of strategy that holds up in real life (not just on paper).

Because here’s the thing:

The women I work with—and the women I make this podcast for—are not hobbyists. They’re leaders. Experts. Disruptors. Women who are setting new standards for what success looks like outside the city.

They’re building lifestyle-first, values-led businesses in the middle of school runs, harvest seasons, or water shortages. They’re navigating visibility, sales, and sustainability without access to co-working spaces or networking events. And they are doing it beautifully—on their own terms.

This season of Unfiltered is about serving those women with content that goes deeper. That supports the pivot, the pause, and the big-picture planning. That makes space for the messy middle. And that reminds you: you don’t have to scale the way everyone else does. You get to do it your way.

If you’re ready to lead from clarity (not chaos), you’re going to feel right at home this season.

Actionable Tips to Take Into Your Own Strategy

If you’re feeling that same tension—the pressure to stay relevant, to churn out content, to always be “on”—then it might be time to rethink your strategy. Here’s how to step back, reclaim your creativity, and move forward with more intention and less burnout:

1. Reevaluate Your Content Rhythm

Ask yourself honestly: Is my current approach to content working for me—or am I just stuck in a cycle of “shoulds”?

If it feels forced, scattered, or exhausting, it’s probably time for a shift. Maybe it’s time to move from daily posting to weekly. Maybe podcasting once a fortnight isn’t sustainable—but a seasonal model is. Your content rhythm should serve your energy, your audience, and your capacity—not drain it.

2. Focus on Depth, Not Volume

You don’t need to be on every platform, every day, with something shiny and new. That kind of strategy leads to burnout, not breakthroughs. Instead, ask:

Where does my audience actually pay attention?

Then, go deeper there. Share the real insights. Tell the story behind the strategy. Build trust by showing up with clarity, not clutter. The goal is resonance—not reach.

3. Batch Your Brilliance

Batching isn’t just about efficiency—it’s about honoring your creative process. When you create in focused blocks of time, you produce better quality content and give your team (or future team) the tools they need to support you without last-minute panic.

Start small: reserve one morning each month to plan, write, or record. Protect that time like it’s a client meeting. Because your content is a client magnet—it deserves your best energy, not your leftover scraps.

Creating sustainable content isn’t about doing more—it’s about doing what matters, with purpose and structure. Whether you're a solopreneur in the outback or managing a team from a wheatbelt farm, this approach will create more space for your voice to be heard—and for your business to grow in the way that feels right for you.
